About Ford

Ford Martin is a young self-starting broadcaster having worked on various broadcasts as an anchor, reporter, play-by-play announcer and studio host.


Ford got his start into broadcasting in 2008 at the early age of 12 with Sirius XM NASCAR Radio as a “National Motorsports Correspondent” for "Tony Stewart Live”, a weekly motorsports radio show conducting interviews with NASCAR drivers, sponsors, and owners. 


Ford went on to appear on various SPEED Channel/FOX Sports 1 shows including: Racing Chef, NASCAR Smarts, and NASCAR Raceday, and co-hosted the HBO/PPV ‘Eldora Live’ Race with the legendary champ Darrell Waltrip. He also joined Fox Sports Broadcaster Matt Yocum and NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart at Las Vegas’ NASCAR Championship Week in hosting the pre-awards broadcast. 


During his time at High Point University from 2014-2018, Ford worked as a Play-by-Play Broadcaster for the High Point Panthers on ESPN3 and the Big South Network for Men's/Women's basketball, Men's/Women's Soccer, Baseball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, and Track & Field. He was also track broadcaster at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Legends Summer Series. 


In 2018, Ford worked at FOX Sports as a Production Assistant, working behind the scenes on various projects for FOX Sports 1 shows by editing various tape elements and live events, working with reporters on remote hits, and assisted producer on live shows. 


Ford Martin graduated from High Point University in May 2018 with a BA in Sports Communication. 


After graduation, Ford has continued to utilize his diverse talents. He currently is a freelance broadcaster for Davidson College and High Point University working Volleyball, Field Hockey, Soccer, and Basketball. Ford works as a play-by-play broadcaster for high school sports in the Carolinas region, streaming live on Facebook and NFHS Network, while also spending time as Studio Host and Producer at IMG College for Western Kentucky producing football games and the weekly "Mike Sanford Coach's Show". 


In 2019, Ford will be working as a play-by-play turn announcer for MRN (Motor Racing Network) for multiple NASCAR races on radio stations all over the country and working for FOX Sports as a Digital Content Producer for NFL on FOX and NASCAR on FOX


Ford has extensive, diverse experience in all sports, with emphasis on NASCAR, Basketball, Football and Hockey.
